The "Technical Policy on the Recycling and Utilization of Automobile Products" released by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the State Environmental Protection Administration on the 14th stated that under the condition of not violating relevant environmental protection requirements, material production enterprises can import scrapped automobiles (which have become chips) and their parts as production raw materials in accordance with regulations, but it is prohibited to load such imported parts into vehicles or enter the circulation process.

The import of automotive materials that are energy-intensive, inefficient, heavily polluting or costly in processing, as well as toxic and environmentally damaging, is prohibited.
